Nimble, the time is in the large manoeuvres. Those of Dominique de Villepin, who is trying to rally them disappointed of sarkozysme. Those of the new Centre, who dreams to fill the space vacated by the weakening of the Modem. But also, within the UMP, those of the different sensibilities of the single party founded in 2002. The approach of the presidential deadline, the Gaullists, Liberals and centrists wake to hear their voice and try to influence the next project. A movement still amplified by the setbacks suffered by the majority in the regional elections of March.
Centrists

They were received by Nicolas Sarkozy early February. Then Tuesday night by François Fillon. The centrists of the UMP have said the two heads of the Executive: they want to "bring their stone to the construction of the future". "Centrist sensitivity must be expressed." It must be heard and defended. "This is not always the case," explains Pierre Méhaignerie, its leader with Marc-Philippe Daubresse. 35 Centrist parliamentarians late last year created a blog. Now, they meet every fortnight. They also decided to organize "General States" to develop a common platform to "all former members of the UDF wishing to associate". "To view positions and common votes," says Senator UMP Fabienne Keller. Objective: do not leave the field open to the Modem of François Bayrou, but also to the new Centre of Hervé Morin. The centrists have seen in the appointment of Marc - Philippe Daubresse Government "beautiful recognition." But they do not take as any account balance. They are demanding "strong signs": on the reform of local communities (municipalities remain for them "an important link"), tax and retirement (they want "more of fairness", as on deficits, that must be "reduced").
The Liberals
The reformers of the UMP was little heard during the debate on the tax shield. Indeed, it does little heard them in a structured way since their leader, Hervé Novelli, joined the Government in 2007. The person wants to correct shooting. Secretary of State has scheduled a meeting of parliamentarians (109 total, even if some of them are also in other sensitivities of the UMP) and 55 local circles of his movement, created in 2006. It will take place in Toulon on 25 June next, to make a diagnosis and propose tracks. Failure though regional elections a little more convinced Hervé Novelli as the stakes of the battle of 2012 "does not lie at the centre" but these middle and working classes who is are remote from the majority to take refuge in abstention or voting FN: "do not apply to voters who do not exist to neglect those."He said. We need to occupy a neglected field: the right.
The Gaullists
No question for Michele Alliot-Marie to delight the General legacy. When Alain Juppé set up a laboratory of ideas and Dominique de Villepin is poised to create his own political training, by putting forward their Gaullist fibre, the Minister of Justice raises in the oak. Created in 2006 but little active since then, this association with hundreds of parliamentarians has been change of logo, the topped with a cross of Lorraine (as the last logo of the RPR) and the slogan "the Gaullists of renewal". It applies to develop its departmental branches. And structure to the Parliament. The first meeting of the members of the Oak must thus be held next Wednesday. These appointments are in addition to the monthly breakfast with Michèle Alliot-Marie. "Family Gaullist needs to make its voice heard and regain its place in the majority", warns the Member Nicolas Dhuicq, a spokesman for the association.
